After the affectionate roll it had from 2014 in the course of its 23rd anniversary celebration, the history of the Air Jordan 6 dates back from 1991 when it was originally released and worn en route to MJ’s very first NBA championship. The year 2000 marked the shoes retro return wherein new colorways have been introduced. Also, Jumpman logos took the place of the classic Nike Air branding and 2002 heralded the release of the AJ lows and versions specially designed for women. Over the years, one-off releases of the AJ6 was seen from its very first white/infrared-black colorway to the bolder and more stylish progression of the Air Jordan 6 Sport Blue, Carmine, Retro+, Olympic, and more.

This year, the Jordan Brand is now releasing its newest addition to the Air Jordan 6 family. Named as “Ghost Green”, the new AJ6 Lows can be termed as the Seahawk Air Jordan as well with its color scheme of Ghost Green, Insigne Blue, and White upper which is an evocative colorway of the Seattle Seahawk teams. Just like its Carmine and Oreo-inspired predecessor, the Ghost Green AJ6 Low uses the typical navy blue and white color block palette all throughout its entire upper and is highlighted with subtle accents of the “Ghost Green” on its midsole, heel air bubble component, pull tab, tongue, and outsole.

On a closer look, the leather-based upper of the “Ghost Green” in white color with the detailed color of Insigne Blue is reminiscent of the same design found in Oreo and Carmine. The accentuated hint of green found on the tongue, heel pull tab and air bubble component, and a spattering of the color in the midsole – which is also part on the shoes’ heel part – definitely becomes the reason why the shoes gained the moniker of “Ghost Green. Aside from the Jumpman branding in silver at eh back of the heel, the same brand emblem can be found can be found under the midsole in rubber lime green.
