Jordan CP3.9 China

Unexpected as it is, sneaker fans and Jordan heads were able to get a first look at the next and new signature shoe of another Jordan Brand icon, Chris Paul, when he donned the Jordan CP3.9 China during his trip to Africa where the NBA happened to flashed out some cool and crisp photos of the said pair.

Early this month, Sneaker News hinted that the new Jordan CP3.9 China “will surely capture the hearts of fanatics”. Earlier photos also revealed that the pair will be sporting a Jade and Black combination with China-inspired details that lent to its name.

Fans might also speculate that another reason why the Jordan China was so called is because it has already been released in China. Nevertheless, with the shoe all set for its Jordan release date early this October of 2015, it seems only fitting to know what the new Jordan CP3.9 China has to offer Jordan heads.

Let’s start with the colorway. The new Jordan CP3.9 was dubbed as the “China” Edition and seems to have a new look to it but on a closer inspection it uses a lot of the same colors pretty much from the first signature releases by Chris Paul. Last time, Chris Paul’s pair of shoes used safari prints highlights on the heel but this one did without that. Instead, the low-top CP3.9 is dominated with a black synthetic upper, bolstered mesh, and a unique leather construction that is reminiscent of Jordan shoes designed way back in the 90s.

The shoe highlights came in the form of the jade colored tongue and the mint green outsole that seems to glow when you look at it from afar. Other highlights of the shoes include the black midsole speckled with jade green and the iconic Jumpman logo on the heels dressed in flashy silver. The new Chris Paul Jordan also has the CP3 logo made in matte silver printed on the tongue and leather accents wrapped around the shoes’ heel. Another cool feature of the Jordan CP3.9 China is the heel tab where a look-alike signature of Chris Paul can be seen emblazoned in red and a dragon down below. Some sort of Chinese character can also be seen on the outsoles.
