The All-Star Weekend will be just weeks away and with it comes some of the most awaited Jordan releases of 2016 including the Air Jordan 4 OG White Cement.
Air Jordan 4 OG White Cement
Release Date:February 13, 2016
Aside from the White Cement Air Jordan 4 OG, there are a number of other Jordan retros that are slated for release come Spring this year. This is no news given that Sneaker News provided an early preview of what the pair looks like and a line-up of some of the upcoming releases. What’s sure is that the All-Star Weekend would definitely be a weekend to look forward to as Jordan Brand and Nike will be finally releasing their much-awaited kicks to the public.
An early peek of the Air Jordan OG White Cement showed that aside from the original AJ4 silhouette, this sneaker will be sporting the comeback of the “Nike Air” branding which is the very reason why the popularity of Air Jordan 1s and Air Jordan 3s were brought on to new heights. The Nike Air branding might have been popular for a time but it became pretty rare when after being a one-off design as seen on February 2013 when the Air Jordan 3 ’88 was released as a tribute to one of MJ’s famous moves: a free-throw line dunk.
Now, Jordan Brand will go all the way with the Nike Air branding that might change the course of their sales given that their Air Jordan 4 Retro ’89 and Air Jordan 4 OG White Cement will be sporting the brand. Both shoes have their official Jordan release date set during the All-Star Weekend. That is, aside from reliving the OG fashion of Air Jordan 4s, White Cement will also be another sneaker tribute to JB’s 23rd anniversary for its AJ4s.
In detail, the AJ4 OG White Cement is a shadow of the OG. It’s a combination of a predominant white, accents of black, and its namesake cement color. Knowing JB, the premium white leather upper is a standard and combines well with the mesh right up to the base of the shoes. With its white upper, the shoes look clean and is made more chic and cool with its stylish black accents found on the top wing eyelets and midsole and speckled cement gray overlays all throughout. There’s also a touch of red with the Jumpman logo found on the cement gray tongue with word “Flight” underneath it. The Nike branding is also stark red on a white backdrop on the outsole with the name “Air Jordan” stitched on the inside of the tongue. The very highlight and finishing touch would be the Nike Air branding right on the heel.
So, fans and sneaker friends, just wait for the release of this kicks on Jordan Brand stores worldwide to grab your pair.
