For the well-known brand of Jordan shoes, Air Jordan 1s are the ones that started it all. The shoes befit the name of being called “the first” of Air Jordans since it was launched in 1984. Today, Air Jordan has become synonymous to shoes as a cultural icon with a high performance brand. And while there are a lot more of Jordan shoes slated on the way, JB has created another original for its fans: the Air Jordan 1 High PRM, also known as the “All-Star Jordan 1”.
Air Jordan 1 High PRM
Color:Wolf Grey/Metallic Silver-White
Release Date:February 13, 2016
As Sneaker News puts it, the new AJ1 is meant just for a very special occasion on sneaker history: the upcoming All-Star Weekend that will be held in Toronto this February. It’s expected of Jordan Brand to line up sneakers in special colorways to mark the event. But of course, the Air Jordan 1 High PRM “All-Star” might show more edge given that it will be an “intriguing” Air Jordan 1 edition.
The Jordan 1 High PRM will be sporting a Metallic Silver, Wolf Grey, and White colorways and will have its official Jordan release date on the second day of the All-Star Weekend, February 13. The shoes will also feature a unique upper make given its reflective and flashy appearance. Given this initiative for an All-Star shoe, is JB going to make all of its collection the same way? Not even the whole set has been unveiled yet so what we can do at most is to wait and see whether the whole collection will be using flashy uppers instead of the traditional premium leathers.
Up close, the AJ1 High PRM sports a distinctive stone-like pattern covering the entire panel with shades of wolf grey mixed up all throughout the shoes. The use of 3M reflective materials are also apparent on this sneaker pair while the vibrant red insole with the Jumpman branding and Jordan calligraphy stands bright in contrast to the white and grey color of the make.
Aside from the Jumpman logo on the insole, another similar logo can be found on the tongue and heel designed in lighter grey. The logo on the tongue also comes with the word “AIR” underneath it. On the side, there’s the original Nike branding together with the imprinted Air Jordan Wings. The shoes are finished off with a white midsole and grey outsole.
Overall, the Air Jordan 1 High PRM All-Star is indeed a shoes worth the time to look at and the dime to spend on. It’s also another icing in the cake for the Jordan releases in 2016.
