Definitely something you should look forward to as one of the Jordan releases 2016, the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” is nothing if it doesn’t stand out from the crowd. An eye-catching combination of red and black, it’s a very powerful colorway that’s made even more impressive by the Air Jordan 12 silhouette.
Air Jordan 12 Flu Game
Color: Black/Varsity Red
Release Date: May 28, 2016
Dubbed as the “Flu Game”, the history of this colorway is testament to how well Michael Jordan played before he left the court. Worn during the 1997 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz, Michael Jordan was reportedly suffering from flu-like symptoms during the fight. Still, he managed to score 38 points and win the game together with his team.
The new release of these iconic kicks is expected to be done in leather with bold and vibrant colors. The upper is done mainly in deep red topped by a black shade that perfectly divides the shoes in between. The trademark Air Jordan 12 lines run vertically on the black portion of the shoes, giving it that additional style that creates a classic look. As can be expected, there’s no overabundance of design here – but the style is enough to make an impression for anyone.
The tongue and laces are done equally in black. The soles are kept red, creating a continuous shade from the upper portion down to the bottom of the shoes. With near-invisible stitches, the kicks look very easy on the eye.
On the middle of the tongue, you can find the Jumpman done in a shade of red. With the tongue itself done in black, that’s actually a good color choice, making the design stand out from its place. It’s expected that the back portion also displays a Jumpman logo in keeping with the traditional Air Jordan 12 silhouette.
Sneaker News has recently released lots of images of the shoes so you shouldn’t have any problem checking out this model from any angle. With the history of the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game”, it definitely makes for an excellent addition in your current Air Jordan collection. The combination of red and black puts it firmly within the realm of a classic. Plus, it looks a little bit like the equally popular Bred’ from Air Jordan.
These kicks are set for a May 28 release and available for $190. If you like them; better put in your order online now before they start disappearing off the shelves. If not however, there are always more Air Jordan releases to be announced for 2016.
