Sneaker News has been going on and on about the City Pack slotted for release this 2016. Pictures have been forthcoming but nothing really beats the real thing. Fortunately, those who are waiting for the City Pack can welcome the release of Air Jordan 10 “Charlotte” which is part of the pack.
Air Jordan 10 Charlotte
Release Date:June 18, 2016
The Air Jordan 10 silhouette is already a favorite among many Nike fans, but its integration with the Charlotte tagline certainly creates an inspired colorway. For the “Charlotte”, Nike decided for a clean cut look, using more shades of white to offset the different shades of blue on the kicks.
The white is mostly found on the upper with stripes of the blue and sky blue placed on the soles. The tongue is maintained in dark blue with the sky blue horizontal lines defining the path of the shoelaces. The laces themselves, however, are dark blue, blending beautifully with the overall design of the Charlotte colorway.
The engraving on the middle of the tongue is a little disappointing with Nike choosing to simply create a depression on the center rather than stamping a new color. As a result, you get a dark blue tongue with a pressed image of the Wings logo which can be easily seen but not distinguished. Fortunately, this almost unseen branding is offset by the CHA embroidery along the sides of the shoes. Done in blue amidst a white background, it is very easy to see the first three letters of the Charlotte, allowing you to instantly connect the kicks to the popular City Pack team.
The Jumpman icon on the back part of the shoes is definitely better seen than the one at the front. Dark blue in color with a white background, there is no mistaking the silhouette of the great man himself as he attempts to do a dunk. Like the CHA design, the Jumpman icon seems to be stitched onto the shoes.
The majority of the body itself is done in white but with linear waves that hint at a layering technique for the completion of the shoes. As a result, you get the perception of depth and texture which adds sophistication to the simplicity of the design.
Jordan release dates 2016 list the Air Jordan 10 “Charlotte” as part of the June batch. To be more specific, expect the sneakers to be on your favorite Jordan Brand store by June 18, 2016 with a price tag of $190.
