One of the most anticipated Jordan release dates 2016 is the 18th of June because this is when the Hyper Violet is supposed to hit the stands. Following an Air Jordan 12 silhouette, this GS release is just in time for the start of classes, giving kids just the right amount of boost to get excited with their upcoming lessons.
Air Jordan 12 GS
Color:Black/Metallic Gold Star-Hyper Violet
Release Date:June 18, 2016
Sure, getting kids excited for school may be asking too much from this Air Jordan 12 GS, but there’s no question that anyone who wears this will love the in-your-face colorway.
As the name implies, Hyper Violet boasts of a very hyper shade of violet, mainly done along the edges of the kicks as well as the soles. The main body including the tongue and laces are all done in black, creating a very tangible contrast between the two colors. The expected Jumpman logo can be seen in the middle of the tongue, the design carrying the same hyper violet shade as the rest of the shoe. Sneaker News photos also show the stitching “TWO 3” on a vertical path in the middle of the tongue, also done in the same shade of violet.
What really makes this colorway stand out however is the metallic gold lace loops strategically placed on both sides of the opening. There are a total of four metals – two on each side, creating an aesthetic balance that somehow manages to pull the whole design together.
The heels are similarly designed with the Jumpman logo on top of a vertical strip of violet. The number 23 is proudly stamped on the bottom to further accentuate the lineage of these kicks.
To wrap it up – Hyper Violet is the kind of colorway you’d want to purchase if you’re hoping for a modern appeal that just draws attention. Of course, this being an Air Jordan 12 GS, you can’t really expect the June 18 release to have sizes available for adults. Women with particularly small feet might find a pair that works for them – but guys are pretty much out of luck. There are no reports yet whether an adult size release would be available.
The Air Jordan 12 GS Hyper Violet will be sold for $140. You’re probably thinking that’s cheaper than other Air Jordan models today – but keep in mind that this is a GS version so for a kid’s shoe, it’s still a little pricey. Being an Air Jordan however, it’s more than worth it. Check them out through Jordan Brand stores as soon as you can!
