If you are looking for an “in your face” colorway from Air Jordan, this is probably it. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Olympic” design is set for a 2016 release date of July, making the release very near indeed. As of this writing, the shoes are now available in eBay.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High Olympic
Color:Deep Royal Blue/Metallic Gold Coin-White
Release Date:July 2016
Sneaker News has provided lots of images of this beauty and you can instantly tell how the kicks are just begging to be looked at. Boasting of blue and white colors, the real eye catchers are the gold accents which make up the Swoosh design and the Wings icon on the side.
The primary color is white with a blue overlay that provides the depth to the kicks. Unfortunately, the two materials follow the same texture so there’s not much variance between the two. The stitching is impeccable and following the Air Jordan 1 silhouette, there are breathing holes on the front upper.
The tongue and laces are kept blue with a logo of Air Jordan’s Jumpman stamped on the center, this time done in red so you won’t miss it. The midsole are thicker than the outsole and is done in plain white with the outsole dyed in blue. On the heels, you can see a little etching of the Jumpman. Unfortunately, Nike decided to embed the Jumpman in the same blue color so it’s not exactly something you can easily notice from afar.
The blue-white strips and color changes offers a simple yet very eye-catching design that jumps at you. From every angle, these shoes look to be flexible when worn – whether you’re going to the Oscars or eating in McDonalds, these shoes will look good anywhere. The addition of the gold accent elevates the “Olympic” to a classier feel worthy of an Air Jordan original.
Of course, if you are looking for a more muted colorway, the Air Jordan 1 Retro “Olympic” probably isn’t the one for you. On the plus side, there are more Jordan release dates 2016 to be announced so you’ll be sure to find something you will like this year.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Olympic” will sell for $140 which is markedly cheaper considering the other products in the market today under the same brand. Keep in mind that this is an Air Jordan 1 Retro High silhouette which bears a close resemblance to the Air Jordan 1 – one of the most coveted kicks today. No reports as to initial production so there’s a good chance it won’t be available long.
