Air Jordan has been rolling out the accolades carpet for the new year and an NBA superstar is set for yet one more stylish tribute. And no it’s not Michael Jordan as the company is this time around honoring another established basketball superstar in Russell who is set to get his own unique pair of sportswear in a new Jordan Russell Westbrook signature shoe Creamsicle.
Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 2-Way
Release Date:January 15,2018
The athlete boats an enviable track record that includes twice topping the NBA scoring charts, the same number of MVP tags and a host of other remarkable feats that are now etched into the history books. Soon, the scintillating point guard will be able to add a slick sneaker tribute to his already remarkable cabinet.
Features of the new Jordans
The Jordan Russell Westbrook signature shoe Creamsicle might come primarily in a single scheme of the now trendy creamsicle, but make no mistake about it, it is as classy a sneakers as they come. The upper body and pretty much the entire shoe is consumed by an endearing shade of the vibrant color scheme that takes on a lighter touch for the midsole.
To spruce up the exterior, the dominance of the orange is broken by deep blue accents that come in the way of a miniature Jumpan on the face of the laceless tongue and another dash of the colorway that lines the interior of the same tongue albeit with a little touch of white. A defiant “Why Not” imprint is found at the top near the collar above a bold “W” that sits delicately poised atop an enchanting blue-topped can-like creamsicle lace lock.
The heel area deviates from the normal architecture with it adopting a tire-esque threaded pattern that hinges around a strong blue contour that sits right in the middle of the back. And within the confines of this contrastingly colored strip are the orange wordings “engineered for flight” that is a subtle reminder of the performance prowess of the sneakers.
The threaded heel structure runs on to the bottom while also claiming a good part of the posterior half of the midsole before culminating in a stunning and similarly patterned white outsole.
Release date and pricing
The Jordan release 2018 whispers have not quite been forthcoming with either the release date or the pricing and as such it’s quite hard to get an exact estimate of the specifics. But given that this is set to be Russell’s maid on-court sportswear, then these new Jordans should be out sometime before the 2017/2018 NBA season. And if history is a reliable guide, then the price tag shouldn’t exceed the $ 200 mark.
